Abstract

This article concerns four daughters of Baldwin II, King of Jerusalem, their relations and their impact on the events in the Holy Land in XII c. Amidst all four sisters, the impact of the oldest sister Melisende, both in politics and in the family, was much greater then of others. For this reason, the article focuses on her.
