Singh","doi":"10.4103/ijabmr.ijabmr_827_21","DOIUrl":null,"url":null,"abstract":"© 2022 International Journal of Applied and Basic Medical Research | Published by Wolters Kluwer ‐ Medknow In an attempt to restructure the medical undergraduate curricula so as to equip medical graduates with essential competencies expected of an Indian Medical Graduate (IMG) and to keep pace with the changing dynamics of health in India, the National Medical Commission has introduced competency-based medical education in Graduate Medical Education Regulations-2019.[1] Competency in medical graduates can be developed through the acquisition of knowledge integrated with clinical and attitudinal skills necessary to provide high-quality, effective patient care.
