Abstract
: This study analyzes the trial production, factory construction, technology introduction, technology localization, and teams involved in the development of vacuum tubes. The development process of vacuum tubes in China is explored. The development of China’s electronics industry during the Anti-Japanese War is summarized. Finally, the efforts made by Chinese in the early stages of the development of the electronics industry are discussed. Moreover, the article concluded that China has not succeeded in independently manufacturing vacuum tubes due to its recent industrial underdevelopment, and the process of localizing technology is extremely slow due to the rapid introduction of U.S. tube technology. The study concluded that owing to its recent industrial underdevelopment and the slow process of technology localization, China has not been able to independently manufacture vacuum tubes, which has resulted in the introduction of U.S. tube technology.
