Bianca Garufi, Cesare Pavese e la Sicilia: un rapporto contrastato

Abstract

This article deals with the complex relationship that Bianca Garufi, writer and psychoanalyst, had with Cesare Pavese, on the one hand, and, on the other, with her homeland, Sicily. This discussion sheds light on the complexity of her personality and of her multifaceted work, recognizing her artistic independence from Pavese, contrary to what critics have thought for a long time, and revealing unknown aspects of her biography, regarding her feelings, but also her commitment for change in society, since her youth, together with personalities who would also need to be rediscovered.
