Ejecución de los tableros laterales en la ampliación del puente de Rande (Vigo)

Abstract

The enlargement of the Rande Bridge was a milestone in the lateral widening on a high-span cable-stayed bridge built with the infrastructure open to traffic. The project attaches a new deck to each of the two outer sides of the main piers. This deck is formed by a metal box section and an external lattice connected to the pre-existing deck by means of metallic lattices and spherical labelled joints. The segments were made in a workshop, moved by road to the storage area where they were finished and on a pontoon by sea to the vertical of their definitive position. The lifting was carried out in collaboration between a front traveler and a rear one designed for this purpose. PALABRAS CLAVE: Ampliación, atirantado, izado, pórtico, carro, dovela, tablero metálico.
