Abstract

Malvastrum coromandelianum subsp. capitato-spicatum is reported as a new record for the United Arab Emirates. Current information on the occurrence of the genus Malvastrum in the Arabian Peninsula is discussed. A key to the subspecies of Malvastrum coromandelianum and a description and illustration of the subspecies capitato-spicatum are provided.
