Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui simpanan karbon pada tegakan mangrove yang berada di Vegetasi Mangrove Pasar Banggi Rembang. Pengambilan data dilakukan pada plot transek ukuran 10x10 di 6 lokasi yang mewakili 3 kelas kerapatan yaitu jarang, sedang dan tinggi. Data yang diambil berupa diameter batang, jenis mangrove, dan jumlah tegakan dalam plot transek. Perhitungan simpanan karbon dilakukan menggunakan rumus alometrik. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian didapatkan total simpanan karbon pada tegakan Vegetasi Mangrove Pasar Banggi sebesar 4001.37 tonC dengan rata-rata simpanan karbon sebesar 193.47 tonC/Ha. Mangroves have the ability to absorb and stores carbon gas from the atmosphere. Abstract

Vegetasi mangrove mempunyai kemampuan menyerap dan menyimpan gas karbon yang terdapat di atmosfer. Informasi mengenai kandungan karbon pada tegakan mangrove dapat dijadikan data dalam menunjang kegiatan pengelolaan hutan secara berkelanjutan yang dapat berperan dalam pengurangan konsentrasi CO2 di atmosfer untuk upaya mitigasi pemanasan global. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui simpanan karbon pada tegakan mangrove yang berada di Vegetasi Mangrove Pasar Banggi Rembang. Pengambilan data dilakukan pada plot transek ukuran 10x10 di 6 lokasi yang mewakili 3 kelas kerapatan yaitu jarang, sedang dan tinggi.
