This study presents the results of research on the selective leaching of carbonates from low-grade phosphate raw materials and evaluation of its efficiency using a combination of SEM, energy-dispersion and chemical analysis, X-ray diffraction, differential thermal, IR-Fourier spectroscopic, and mineralogical analysis techniques. The results showed an increase in the content of phosphorus(v) oxide from 14% to 22% through the selective leaching process. The enriched phosphate raw materials were also found to be suitable for the production of phosphorus-containing products. Abstract

Abstract The selective leaching method presents a new and innovative approach for the enrichment of low-grade phosphate raw materials.
