La creación de mapas conceptuales como herramienta de apoyo al proceso de documentación en la traducción de los estatutos sociales

Abstract

The Creation of Conceptual Maps as a Support Tool for Documentation in the Translation of Bylaws Conceptual maps can be of great help to translators, insofar as they allow to clearly visualise and represent the conceptual networks drawn from a text. Its usefulness can also be seen for texts, such as the articles of association, that stand out for their thematic hybridity, their functional complexity, their length and, therefore, their unpredictability. In this paper, we propose to delve into the usefulness of conceptual maps for finding translation solutions. We illustrate three examples from a section of the articles of association of Bankia S.A. We detail how its exploitation allows the user to identify the key elements of textual organization and, thanks to this, improve the efficiency of the search for linguistic solutions (using the Google search engine).
