Abstract
Scientific literature investigating the process of adoption of green innovations (GIs) by technology-based SMEs is still incomplete and fragmented despite their importance for a country's economic development. In this paper, the authors analyse a sample of these SMEs to investigate how they relate to GIs. The findings show that these SMEs follow different approaches toward GIs, their decision being greatly affected by their capacity to establish networks with external partners, as well as by the presence of a suitable business climate. The statistical analysis conducted highlights the patterns followed and provides a geographic representation of the propensity for eco-innovation and networking.
