Abstract

This paper describes the relationship between the employee and the organisational culture in a company. It places particular focuson the characteristics of today’s employees, resulting from the typology of current working generations and highlights the characteristicfeatures of baby boomers, Generation X, and Generation Y. The practical part of this paper characterises employees andHR policies of two groups operating in the mining industry – Jastrzębska Spółka Węglowa SA and Lubelski Węgiel Bogdanka SA.
