Abstract

The antimicrobial properties of silver compounds and biological properties of benzimidazole derivatives have been well known for many years. In the present study, in terms of their biological potential, six novel silver(I)-N-alkylbenzimidazole derivatives were synthesized in order to examine their carbonic anhydrase (CA) inhibitory properties.
