Abstract
Introduction
Several scales were developed to describe and assess the work values system. Although some overlap is observed, none of these scales was developed to incorporate the whole array of work values that can be identified in the literature.
Objective
The goal of this set of studies was to develop and validate a work values scale based on a comprehensive review of the literature, namely the Integrative Work Values Scale (IWVS).
Method
A panel of experts (N1 = 9) and two French-Canadian samples of adults (N2 = 229; N3 = 476) were recruited to develop the IWVS and to test its reliability and validity.
Results
Omega coefficients revealed that the IWVS showed satisfying reliability estimates. Results also supported its content validity, convergent validity with general values, and factor validity.
Conclusion
Overall, these findings support the utility of the IWVS to assess the wide array of work values that were identified in the literature. Implications for theory and research on work values are discussed.

The aim of the Revue européenne de Psychologie appliquée / European Review of Applied Psychology is to promote high-quality applications of psychology to all areas of specialization, and to foster exchange among researchers and professionals. Its policy is to attract a wide range of contributions, including empirical research, overviews of target issues, case studies, descriptions of instruments for research and diagnosis, and theoretical work related to applied psychology. In all cases, authors will refer to published and verificable facts, whether established in the study being reported or in earlier publications.
