Reformas legales y su efecto sobre las rupturas matrimoniales

Abstract

During last decades, Spain has registered the most significant transformations related to marital ruptures. Law 15/2005 has had a special effect with regard to substantial modifications in legal procedings. Therefore, the main objective of the present work is to analyse its incidence on ruptures data. Using data from the General Council of the Judiciary and the National Institute of Statistics, we have concluded that variations in ruptures (absolute numbers and rates) have occurred, largely, aside the arrival of this legal reform, being its incidence of a limited and temporary nature.
