Eye movements are an integral part of everyday activities, such as reading, searching for an item of interest, eye-hand coordination, navigation, or tracking an approaching car. Abstract

In healthy vision, the fovea provides high acuity and serves as the locus for fixation achieved through saccadic eye movements.
