Abstract
Ferroptosis is a type of cell death driven by oxidative damage to lipid membranes. The discovery that organelles called mitochondria have an antioxidant system that counteracts ferroptosis might lead to new anticancer therapies. Pathway found that combats lipid peroxidation of mitochondrial membranes.
