Abstract
Dear Editor, We would like to congratulate Khalafi and Symonds1 for their manuscript “The impact of high-intensity interval training on inflammatory markers in metabolic disorders: A meta-analysis”, published recently in the Scandinavian Journal of Medicine & Science in Sports, which we read with great interest. This is a very relevant field of research and, to our knowledge, this is the first meta-analysis to investigate the effects of high-intensity interval training (HIIT) on proand anti-inflammatory markers and adipokinesin patients with metabolic disorders. However, we would respectfully like to address some aspects to be considered when analyzing and interpreting the results presented, as well as the conclusions.
