Response to the critique of Sameer Padhye and Neelesh Dahanukar (2019).

Abstract

We are pleased that Sameer Padhye and Neelesh Dahanukar (hereafter referred to as PN) agree that there is a significant need for DNA barcode data on this important group of organisms, and that a major goal of the paper (Abhyankar et al. 2019) was to initiate an effort to fill this gap. PN, do however, make other comments questioning other points made in the paper, and here we will attempt to address each of them
