Methods Totally 375 patients with Hp positive chronic gastritis were assigned to the control group (group A) , syndrome differentiation group (group B) and Kangyou Mixture group (group C). All the patients received quadruple therapy; patients in group B took TCM Decoction; patients in group C took Kangyou Mixture . The treatment lasted for 14 days intotal. The symptom scores were observed before and after treatment. The positive rate of Hp was reviewed at 1 month after treatment. Results The eradication rates of Hp in group B and C were increased compared with group A (P <0. 01 , P <0. 05). The symptom scores of each group were decreased after treatment (P <0. 01). Compared with group A, the improvement rate of symptom scores were increased in both Group B and Group C after treatment(P <0. 05).
