A new approach to acute renal failure.

Abstract

The phrase pre-renal failure does not capture the subtleties of hemodynamic changes that result in low-normal blood pressure or volume and increased serum creatinine. Clarifying terms, normotensive ischemic acute renal failure and prerenal success, are reviewed.
