Abstract

Etilefrine, a sympathomimetic agent, is reportedly effective against postoperative chylothorax. However, its effectiveness in treating congenital chylothorax was unknown. We report herein a case of refractory congenital chylothorax treated with etilefrine in a late preterm neonate with massive fetal chylous pleural effusion.
