As the size, use and technological complexity of these units have increased, so has the concern regarding loader and truck safety. The severity and number of accidents involving loaders and trucks is higher when compared to all other mining accident types. Abstract
At surface mining operations throughout the world, loaders and trucks are a primary means of material loading and haulage.
