Abstract

Many nursing administrators refer to research and quality assessment synonymously. Others use one of these processes when their goals would best be met with the other. This confusion between research and quality assessment leads to the missed opportunity for collaboration between nursing research and nursing quality assessment coordinators who can build upon each others' work.
