Abstract
In this paper, the fractal theory is used to consider the roughness of the matrix pore surface based on the previous research, the relative roughness model of the matrix pore surface is established, and the fractal model of anisotropic interporosity flow function and shape factor considering the relative roughness, tortuosity, and starting pressure of matrix pore is derived. The influence of relative roughness on the interporosity flow function and shape factor is also analyzed. It is found that the relative roughness is inversely proportional to the interporosity flow function but proportional to the shape factor. In addition, the rationality of the model is verified by comparing with the existing research.

Chemical engineering enables the transformation of natural resources and energy into useful products for society. It draws on and applies natural sciences, mathematics and economics, and has developed fundamental engineering science that underpins the discipline.
Chemical Engineering Science (CES) has been publishing papers on the fundamentals of chemical engineering since 1951. CES is the platform where the most significant advances in the discipline have ever since been published. Chemical Engineering Science has accompanied and sustained chemical engineering through its development into the vibrant and broad scientific discipline it is today.
