Structure antigénique et biologie comparée d'une souche de Micropolyspora faeni et de deux souches intitulées Thermopolyspora polyspora au C.B.S. De Baarn

Abstract

Nous avons comparé le comportement cultural et la structure antigénique d'une souche de Micropolyspora fœni et de deux souches intitulées Thermopolyspora polyspora du Centraalbureau voor Schimmelcultures de Baarn où elles sont inventoriées sous les numéros 100 63 (Gregory) et 423 63 (Fergus).

Sans nous prononcer sur la position taxonomique réelle de ces deux souches, ni prendre parti sur la validité ou la non-validité du genre Thermopolyspora ce qui n'est pas de notre compétence, nous constatons qu'elles se rapportent à une même espèce qui est nettement distincte de M. fœni, tant sur le plan cultural que par sa mosaïque antigénique.

Dans ces conditions, elles ne peuvent être utilisées pour le diagnostic immunologique de la maladie du « Poumon du fermier .

We have compared the cultural behaviour and the antigenic structure of a genuine strain of Micropolyspora fœni and two strains called Thermopolyspora polyspora at the Centraalbureau voor Schimmelcultures from Baarn where they are registered under the numbers 100.63 (Gregory) and 423.63 (Fergus).

Without giving any opinion on the actual taxonomic place of these two strains, or deciding on the validity or non-validity of the genera Thermopolyspora, two points which are outside our scope, we can notice that these two strains are referred to the same species and are clearly distinct from M. fœni as well on the cultural point of view as on the antigenic mosaic.

Under these circumstances, antigens from these two strains cannot be used for the immunological diagnosis of the farmer's lung disease.
