Fréquence de l'antigène Australie chez 13.658 donneurs espagnols bénévoles

Abstract

The Au/SH antigen was investigated on 13 658 non-paid blood donors. 11.287 were studied by means of immunoelectrophoresis and the rest by a latex procedure. The whole percentage of positive donors was of 1,120 %. That obtained by means of immunoelectrophoresis exclusively and only referred to donors studied for the first time in a blood transfusion center (7 537) was of 1,300 %. This last figure, perhaps better than the preceeding one shows the real incidence of the Au/SH antigen in the Spanish population.
