Abstract
The aim of this study was to identify actions and funding allocated to renal replacement therapy (RRT) for patients with chronic kidney disease in the state of Paraná, Brazil during the COVID-19 pandemic. We conducted a documentary study using data extracted from six official health platforms in Brazil. Of the 17 documents published between January 2020 and May 2023 selected for analysis, seven (41.18%) addressed financial resources allocated to RRT during the pandemic and 10 (58.82%) described RRT actions. The data were analyzed according to the care quality assessment triad structure, process and outcomes. The findings indicate that both funding and actions implemented during the pandemic focused on expanding installed capacity, adapting infrastructure and reorganizing services to ensure the continuity and quality of care provided to patients undergoing RRT.
