Abstract
The template-directed gas-phase synthesis of nanocomposites (CVD coating) based on globular carbon was used to produce an effective anode material for a lithium-ion battery. A combination of CVD coating and high-temperature treatment (2800 °C) yielded samples with features of various carbon structural types (graphite, soft carbon, and hard carbon). The influence of the structural features of the model materials on their electrochemical behavior was studied. While having high operational stability, the resulting nanocomposites demonstrated a reversible specific capacity exceeding that of commercial materials MCMB and BTR 518.
