Abstract
The global development agenda has repeatedly recognized sexual and reproductive health and rights (SRHR) as fundamental to human dignity, gender equality, social justice, and sustainable development. Yet, as the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) approach their 2030 deadline, sexual and reproductive health remains one of Africa's major unfinished development agendas. The question before the global community is therefore not whether SRHR should remain on the development agenda, but how it should be strengthened, financed, and transformed in the post-2030 era.
