Abstract
Hightlights
High-quality, centimeter-sized polycrystalline wafers of a 2D ferroelectric perovskite are fabricated via a facile hot-pressing method, circumventing the challenge of growing large, thick single crystals of 2D perovskites.
The preferred horizontal orientation of grains, combined with electric poling, creates macroscopic out-of-plane polarization, generating a strong built-in electric field that boosts interlayer carrier transport.
The poled wafer not only enables self-powered X-ray detection but also achieves a high sensitivity (2285 μC Gy−1 cm−2) and an ultralow detection limit (7.2 nGy s−1) under a small bias, along with exceptional operational stability and high-contrast X-ray imaging.

Nano-Micro Letters is a peer-reviewed, international, interdisciplinary, and open-access journal published under the SpringerOpen brand.
Nano-Micro Letters focuses on the science, experiments, engineering, technologies, and applications of nano- or microscale structures and systems in various fields such as physics, chemistry, biology, material science, and pharmacy. It also explores the expanding interfaces between these fields.
Nano-Micro Letters particularly emphasizes the bottom-up approach in the length scale from nano to micro. This approach is crucial for achieving industrial applications in nanotechnology, as it involves the assembly, modification, and control of nanostructures on a microscale.
