[Interventions to mitigate hesitation related to vaccines of childhood and adolescence, 2012-2023: an integrative review].

Abstract

The overall aim of this study is to present the results of an integrative review on interventions to mitigate hesitancy related to childhood and adolescent vaccines in the period 2012-2023. 45 articles met the inclusion criteria and were systematized according to publication date, country of implementation, methodological approach, target population, related vaccine, proposed intervention, category and Level of Evidence. Among the results, most of the articles were published in the 2021-2023 triennium; there was greater use of the quantitative approach; the most frequent target population was parents/caregivers/decision makers, and the most described intervention was the sending of educational content in digital media. As a conclusion, the convergence of the selected studies with the Cs Model, which explains the determinants of vaccine hesitancy, was identified. The identified interventions can contribute to the development of coping strategies and the formulation of evidence-based public policies.
