Abstract
An enhanced ratiometric fluorescence sensor Ru@HFeO@NH2-MIL-101 (Fe) for the determination of arsenate was constructed by using HFeO-modified NH2-MIL-101 (Fe) as the response signal and Ru(bpy)32+ as the reference signal, which can be used for sensitive and visual detection of As(V). Because the HFeO nanoparticles were cleverly in-situ generated within the NH2-MIL-101(Fe) framework, the adsorption capacity of As(V) was enhanced 32% and further increased fluorescence ratio. The sensor exhibited a good linear relationship within As(V) concentration range 0.05-1 and 3–30 µM, with a detection limit (LOD) of 0.039 µM. The sensor also exhibited good selectivity and practical application performance, and can be utilized by a smartphone for visual detection of As(V). This provides an effective method for the sensitive detection of As(V) in complex environmental conditions.
