Abstract
This work investigates the structural, magnetic, electrical, and dielectric properties of the multi-element A-site substituted perovskite La₀.₅₇Nd₀.₁₀Sr₀.₁₈Ag₀.₁₅CrO₃ (LNSACrO) synthesized by the sol–gel method. X-ray diffraction and Rietveld refinement confirm a rhombohedral structure with the R-3c space group. Raman and SEM analyses reveal lattice distortion and a polycrystalline microstructure. Magnetic measurements performed under 0.05 T show a complex magnetic behavior, with an antiferromagnetic transition at TN = 12 K and a ferromagnetic–paramagnetic transition at TC = 275 K, highlighting the influence of multi-cation A-site substitution on the magnetic ordering. Electrical measurements reveal thermally activated conduction with an activation energy of 0.280 eV, while the temperature dependence of the Jonscher exponent indicates a correlated barrier hopping (CBH) mechanism. Impedance analysis confirms non-Debye relaxation and distinct grain and grain-boundary contributions. These results demonstrate the strong coupling between A-site chemical disorder and the magnetic and electrical properties of LNSACrO, highlighting its potential for multifunctional magneto-dielectric and electronic applications.
