Abstract
The study explored the ecological damage in central-western China due to energy shift and coal mining's soil impact, aiming to offer theoretical and practical support for regional ecological protection and sustainable development. This paper took the Ehuobulake Coal Mine Area in Xinjiang as the research area. The orthogonal matrix factor analysis method and the common factor analysis method were jointly used to conduct a source apportionment study of heavy metals, and spatial representation was carried out in combination with geographic information technology. (1) The moisture content in the research area was in a state of strong variation, decreasing successively from Area T (26.30%), Area L (8.96%), Area B (3.43%) to Area N (3.42%). The pH was in a state of weak variation, gradually decreasing from Area N (8.43), Area B (8.14), Area T (8.06) to Area L (7.83). (2) Based on the Positive Matrix Factorization (PMF), factor 1, factor 2, factor 3 and factor 4 were judged to be transportation sources, coal mining sources, parent material sources and mixed sources respectively. Through factor analysis, factor 1, factor 2, factor 3 and factor 4 were judged to be parent material sources, transportation sources, coal mining and transportation sources and mixed sources respectively. The orthogonal matrix factor analysis method and the common factor analysis method had the same number of source factors. The qualitative interpretations of the factors were basically consistent, and the accuracy of the analysis results was high. The analysis results can provide theoretical support for the tracing of pollutants.
期刊介绍:
Water, Air, & Soil Pollution is an international, interdisciplinary journal on all aspects of pollution and solutions to pollution in the biosphere. This includes chemical, physical and biological processes affecting flora, fauna, water, air and soil in relation to environmental pollution. Because of its scope, the subject areas are diverse and include all aspects of pollution sources, transport, deposition, accumulation, acid precipitation, atmospheric pollution, metals, aquatic pollution including marine pollution and ground water, waste water, pesticides, soil pollution, sewage, sediment pollution, forestry pollution, effects of pollutants on humans, vegetation, fish, aquatic species, micro-organisms, and animals, environmental and molecular toxicology applied to pollution research, biosensors, global and climate change, ecological implications of pollution and pollution models. Water, Air, & Soil Pollution also publishes manuscripts on novel methods used in the study of environmental pollutants, environmental toxicology, environmental biology, novel environmental engineering related to pollution, biodiversity as influenced by pollution, novel environmental biotechnology as applied to pollution (e.g. bioremediation), environmental modelling and biorestoration of polluted environments.
Articles should not be submitted that are of local interest only and do not advance international knowledge in environmental pollution and solutions to pollution. Articles that simply replicate known knowledge or techniques while researching a local pollution problem will normally be rejected without review. Submitted articles must have up-to-date references, employ the correct experimental replication and statistical analysis, where needed and contain a significant contribution to new knowledge. The publishing and editorial team sincerely appreciate your cooperation.
Water, Air, & Soil Pollution publishes research papers; review articles; mini-reviews; and book reviews.
