Abstract
This letter introduces a hybrid electromagnetic transparency regulation method that synergistically integrates low-loss transmission and high-impedance choke characteristics, applied to the design of a wideband multiband shared aperture array. A dual-nested square ring is employed as the fundamental transmission unit, which not only establishes the first passband over 1.7 GHz to 2.1 GHz (middle-band, MB) but also utilizes its outer ring as the radiator for the low-band (LB) antenna operating from 0.68 GHz to 0.86 GHz. Dual wideband parallel LC (PLC) resonators are subsequently incorporated into both the inner and outer square rings. At their resonance frequencies, the high-impedance characteristics effectively suppress the induced currents on the nested square rings, producing open-circuit effects that fragment the structure into discrete electrically small elements and thereby render it electromagnetically transparent, covering the two high-bands (HB, HB1: 3 GHz to 4 GHz and HB2: 4.6 GHz to 5.5 GHz). Consequently, a quad-band wideband shared-aperture array is successfully realized, demonstrating the effectiveness of the proposed hybrid design strategy.

IEEE Antennas and Wireless Propagation Letters (AWP Letters) is devoted to the rapid electronic publication of short manuscripts in the technical areas of Antennas and Wireless Propagation. These are areas of competence for the IEEE Antennas and Propagation Society (AP-S). AWPL aims to be one of the "fastest" journals among IEEE publications. This means that for papers that are eventually accepted, it is intended that an author may expect his or her paper to appear in IEEE Xplore, on average, around two months after submission.
