Abstract
In children, central retinal vein occlusion (CRVO) is very rare and typically linked to underlying prothrombotic disorders. We describe a case of pediatric CRVO in the presence of Klinefelter syndrome (KS) with no other comorbidities. KS is associated with hematological abnormalities. This case suggests that a hypofibrinolytic state caused by androgen deficiency along with other genetic factors may contribute to CRVO risk.
