Abstract
Scalable Microneedle Printing
In Research Article e71227, SeungHyun Park, WonHyoung Ryu and co-workers, demonstrate a screen-printing-based strategy for the scalable fabrication of substrate-free hyaluronic acid microneedle arrays. By combining a hybrid HA ink with vacuum-assisted mold filling and controlled steam-mediated drying, the process produces uniform, solid, and void-free microneedle arrays. The mechanically stable microneedles penetrate ex vivo porcine skin and enable drug delivery, while patterned and multi-drug-loaded arrays demonstrate the platform's versatility for advanced transdermal therapies.
