Abstract
The study is based on equations of motion, taking into account nonlinear factors and heat gain. Calculations characterizing pressure distribution within the bearing’s operating clearance were performed. The influence of nonlinear factors and heat gain on the technical characteristics of a radial plain bearing was analyzed. According to the study, the groove significantly improves the uniformity of lubricant distribution within the unit, thereby minimizing wear and extending the service life of the radial plain bearing. Modeling the behavior of the lubricant within the operating clearance involves analyzing a number of factors, such as the characteristics of the medium, the flow regime (laminar, transitional, or turbulent), operating parameters, and nonlinear factors.
