Abstract
Marine plastic pollution has grown to be an alarming problem in recent years, and abandoned nylon fishing nets are a key contributing factor. In order to improve concrete’s mechanical qualities and sustainability, this study looks into recycling waste fibers. This study suggests conducting an experiment to examine the durability and mechanical characteristics of concrete reinforced with recycled nylon fibers. This work’s main goal is to evaluate the efficacy of recycled nylon fibers derived from waste fishing nets in improving the mechanical characteristics and longevity of masonry. Initially, the input data is collected from Concrete Compressive Strength dataset. A Progressive Graph Convolutional Network is used to forecast Concrete reinforced with recycled nylon fiber: its mechanical characteristics (RNRC) (PGCN). Concrete mixtures with zero, one, two, and three percent recycled nylon fibers were tested mechanically using standard testing methods. Compressive, tensile, and flexural strength measures were part of these testing. Compared with conventional concrete, the RNRC containing 3% recycled nylon fibers achieved significant improvements in mechanical performance, Tensile strength increased from 2.67 MPa to 3.45 MPa (29.21%), and compressive strength increased from 23.37 MPa to 28.07 MPa (20.11%) and flexural strength increasing from 3.27 MPa to 8.10 MPa (147.71%) after 28 days of curing. By contrasting RNRC with regular concrete, the study demonstrates how recycled fibers can enhance concrete performance while fostering environmental sustainability. The proposed method is implemented in MATLAB. The study provides a comparison between RNRC with standard concrete, demonstrating that recycled nylon fibers can enhance concrete performance while promoting environmental sustainability.
