Abstract
Ultrasound as a tool in rheumatology has an increasingly wide range of applications. Its harmless nature, low cost, and the possibility of use in the consultation itself have made it gain increasing strength in its indications. With training, it is possible to identify findings that can contribute to diagnosis, monitoring, and risk stratification in inflammatory and non-inflammatory vascular diseases. We propose a review of the literature on the different vascular pathologies in which rheumatologists can receive support with this imaging technique, which is also considered a semiological prolongation.
