Abstract
A new 2-oxetanone, 4-methoxy-2-oxetanone (1), along with five known compounds including o-hydroxybenzoic acid (2), p-hydroxybenzoic acid (3), p-hydroxybenzaldehyde (4), vanillin (5), and isovanillin (6), were isolated from the roots of Kalanchoe beharensis (Crassulaceae). The structure of the new β-lactone derivative was elucidated by physical evidence.
期刊介绍:
Chemistry of Natural Compounds publishes reviews and general articles about the structure of different classes of natural compounds, the chemical characteristics of botanical families, genus, and species, to establish the comparative laws and connection between physiological activity and the structure of substances.
