Abstract
Silicon heterojunction (HJT) solar cells require low-temperature metallization because their passivation layers are sensitive to excessive thermal exposure. This study evaluates the temperature-dependent electrical behavior, short-term temperature/light-induced degradation, and mixed-waveform AC-bias recovery of HJT cells metallized with a 60:40 AgCu conductive paste. The optimized cell exhibited = 39.20 mA , = 0.742 V, FF = 77.35%, and = 22.48%. From 25 to 85 °C, increased slightly, whereas , FF, and efficiency decreased, with temperature coefficients of + 0.0387, −0.217, −0.0591, and − 0.236% °C−1, respectively. After 48 h under 1-sun illumination at 85 °C, , , FF, and efficiency retained 95.55%, 98.55%, 95.65%, and 94.20% of their initial values. Following 36 h of mixed-waveform AC-bias treatment, the corresponding values recovered to 99.34%, 99.68%, 99.18%, and 99.20%. These results demonstrate substantial device-level electrical recovery; however, its microscopic origin requires contact-resistivity, lifetime, structural, chemical, and waveform-control measurements.
