The acknowledgements of the article has been updated and should read as follows: “This work received funding as part of the TALENTS doctoral network through the European Union's HORIZON-MSCA-2022-DN- 01 research and innovation program under grant agreement No. 101119486 (https://www.talents-dn.eu). J.W., A.W., R.E.B., H.K. and A.G. are beneficiaries of this grant. S.C. is funded by NERC grant NE/S007415/1 (Science and Solutions for a Changing Planet DTN). We are grateful to SLB for the provision of Petrel (Version 2024.4.0) for use in this project. We gratefully acknowledge the crews and scientific teams associated with the collection and curation of the WATER seismic reflection data used in this study and express our gratitude to the co-chief scientists of the WATER I and II campaigns, Virginie Gaullier and Louise Watremez; the Laboratory of Oceanology and Geosciences; and the French Oceanographic Fleet, without whom, data collection would not have been possible. This work has been financially supported by the European Union (ERDF), the French State, the French Hauts-de-France Region and Ifremer, within the framework of the CPER MARCO 2015–2021 project.”
In the Funding section, the funding information “This work has been financially supported by the European Union (ERDF), the French State, the French Hauts-de-France Region and Ifremer, within the framework of the CPER MARCO 2015–2021 project” was missing. The updated Funding section is as follows:

期刊介绍:
Basin Research is an international journal which aims to publish original, high impact research papers on sedimentary basin systems. We view integrated, interdisciplinary research as being essential for the advancement of the subject area; therefore, we do not seek manuscripts focused purely on sedimentology, structural geology, or geophysics that have a natural home in specialist journals. Rather, we seek manuscripts that treat sedimentary basins as multi-component systems that require a multi-faceted approach to advance our understanding of their development. During deposition and subsidence we are concerned with large-scale geodynamic processes, heat flow, fluid flow, strain distribution, seismic and sequence stratigraphy, modelling, burial and inversion histories. In addition, we view the development of the source area, in terms of drainage networks, climate, erosion, denudation and sediment routing systems as vital to sedimentary basin systems. The underpinning requirement is that a contribution should be of interest to earth scientists of more than one discipline.
