Abstract
Aim: The intercuspal position of deciduous dentition was investigated.
Methods: A total of 389 patients aged 4.5 to 5.5 years were evaluated and among them, 30 were selected according to the inclusion criteria with clinically normal dental occlusion. Using clinical and photographic analyses of dental contacts, a tracing of both the inferior and superior arches of the deciduous dental anatomy (occlusogram) and the coincidental occlusal points was achieved.
Conclusion: Observations also showed that the contact between the second molars exhibits morphofunctional anchorage in the mesiodistal direction.
