Abstract
Two new alkaloids, 2-(2′,4′-dimethylpyridin-1′-ium-1′-yl)-3-phenylpropanoate (1) and 2-(2′,4′-dimethylpyridin-1′-ium-1′-yl)-3-(4″-hydroxyphenyl)propanoate (2), along with six known compounds (3–8), were isolated from the roots of Capsicum annuum L. var. fasciculatum (Sturt.) Irish (Solanaceae). The structures of these two new alkaloids were elucidated by physical evidence.
期刊介绍:
Chemistry of Natural Compounds publishes reviews and general articles about the structure of different classes of natural compounds, the chemical characteristics of botanical families, genus, and species, to establish the comparative laws and connection between physiological activity and the structure of substances.
