Abstract

Criteria are established for the existence of an acoustic (Stoneley) wave in an mmm-symmetry medium at the twist boundary coinciding with the plane of symmetry. The results obtained are applicable to media of other symmetries in which the tensor of elastic moduli has the same structure as in the mmm symmetry class.
