Abstract

Graduate training often emphasizes technical specialization over critical thinking and theories of knowledge, impeding the research enterprise. Here, we describe a new Ohio State University course on epistemology and research practices, adapted from Johns Hopkins University-developed curricula, that may serve as a model for integrating rigor, reproducibility, and responsibility elsewhere.
