Abstract
Background
Patients with systemic autoimmune diseases benefit of an individual education patient during their pluridisciplinary day-hospitalization on regional reference center. After 2 years of activity and a lack of data on satisfaction professionals, the purpose of this study is to explore the satisfaction of healthcare professionals within a pluridisciplinary day-hospitalization.
Methods
An analysis of this practice during 2 years was carried out and then we performed a qualitative study by conducting individual professional interviews using a specific interview guide and analysis of verbatims.
Results
Between January 2022 and January 2024, 230 HDJPPs were identified, with an average of 8 patients per day. Among the 16 professionals interviewed, overall satisfaction was measured at 3.7/5, mainly linked to their personal experience and the relationship with the patients. The organization and the multi-professional dimension were identified as factors positively influencing this satisfaction, while some limits have been identified (organizational problems, lack of resources) for which the interviewees proposed suggestions for improvement.
Conclusion
This study demonstrates that the interaction between professionals and the organization are the main parameters impacting the satisfaction of healthcare professionals within the HDJPP. It also highlights the evolution of this HDJPP from a simple multi-professionalism to an inter-professionalism, favored by joint work and shared decision-making, including the active participation of patients in their health care.
