Améliorer la qualité de l’écriture et corriger certaines dysgraphies par une réharmonisation intégrative visuo-vestibulaire

Abstract

Les problèmes de dysgraphie sont rarement adressés à l’orthoptiste, si ce n’est pour lui confier un contrôle de la vision et de la motricité oculaire, mais ils sont plutôt adressés aux psychomotriciens, aux ergothérapeutes, aux orthophonistes et aux graphothérapeutes, dans le but de rééduquer une praxie motrice fine, intimement liée au langage et nécessitant une grande attention en période d’apprentissage. Néanmoins, des recherches récentes portant sur les bénéfices d’un exercice visuo-vestibulaire tel que celui réalisé avec le Panneau Panoramique Stéréoscopique (PPS) ont montré que la modulation de l’intégration visuo-vestibulaire-proprioceptive, en priorisant la vision centrale, permettait d’améliorer la qualité du graphisme.

Dysgraphia problems are rarely referred to orthoptists, except for vision and eye movement checks, but are instead referred to psychomotor therapists, occupational therapists, speech therapists and graphotherapists, with the aim of re-educating fine motor skills, which are closely linked to language and require a great deal of attention during the learning period. Nevertheless, recent research on the benefits of visuovestibular exercises such as those performed with the Stereoscopic Panoramic Panel (SPP) has shown that modulating visuovestibular-proprioceptive integration, by prioritising central vision, can improve the quality of handwriting.
