Abstract

Since Nature Protocols launched in 2006, protocol sharing has shifted from the margins to mainstream practice. Before the launch of online protocol journals, researchers relied on protocol textbooks, research papers and word of mouth. Now, researchers can choose from a range of platforms and journals to access and disseminate detailed step-by-step protocols.
